Notifications and digests

What gets sent, where it goes, and how to turn the volume down without going deaf.

Three channels

  • In-app inbox — everything, always. The record of what happened.
  • Email — configurable per event type, batched by default.
  • Push — assignments, mentions and due dates only.

Turning the volume down

Settings → Notifications. Most people who feel drowned by a project tool have "any change on a task I follow" turned on. Switch to mentions, assignments and due dates, and you keep the ones that need you and lose the ones that do not.

Digests

A digest collects a period into one message: your day at 08:30, a project's week on Friday, or a custom filter on any schedule. Digests are the right home for anything you want to be aware of but never need to act on within the hour.
