Create a workspace and invite your team

Set up the workspace, choose who can see what, and get everyone in without a seat you did not mean to buy.

Create the workspace

A workspace is the top-level container for everything your organisation does in Taskzin. Most companies need exactly one. Separate workspaces do not share tasks, members or billing, so create a second one only if you genuinely run two businesses.

  1. Sign up with a work email — the domain is what lets colleagues find and join later.
  2. Name the workspace after the company, not the project.
  3. Pick a starting template, or choose "Empty" if you plan to import from another tool.

Invite people

Open Settings → Members → Invite. You can paste a list of email addresses separated by commas, so inviting thirty people is one action rather than thirty.

  • Members count against your seats and can create and edit work.
  • Guests are free and see only the specific projects you share with them — the right choice for clients and contractors.
  • Admins can change billing, permissions and workspace settings.

Turn on domain join (Settings → Members → Anyone with an @yourcompany.com address can join) and new colleagues add themselves without waiting on an admin.

What to do first

Resist the urge to configure everything. Create one real project, put this week's actual work in it, and let the structure follow what people need. Custom fields and automations are easier to design once you have seen a week of real usage.
