Connect Slack

Link a project to a channel, choose which events post there, turn any Slack message into a task, and keep a busy channel from being muted.

Connect

  1. Settings → Integrations → Slack → Connect, and approve in Slack.
  2. Link a project to a channel from the project's ⋯ → Slack.
  3. Choose which events post: created, status changed, completed, commented, or only the ones you pick.

From Slack to Taskzin

  • The message action Create task turns any message into a task with a link back to the thread.
  • /taskzin new <title> creates one directly in the linked project.
  • Replies in a posted thread appear as comments on the task, attributed to the Slack author.

Keeping it quiet

Link a channel to a filtered view rather than a whole project when the project is busy. A channel that posts forty times a day is a channel people mute, which is worse than no integration.
