Run the import
- Settings → Import → Jira, and authorise with an account that can read the projects you want.
- Select projects. Import them in waves rather than all at once — one team first.
- Map issue types to task types and Jira statuses to Taskzin statuses. Anything unmapped lands in a holding status you can sort afterwards.
- Review the preview. It states exactly how many issues, comments and attachments will move.
- Start the import. You will get an email when it finishes.
What comes across
- Issues with summary, description, status, assignee, reporter, labels and dates
- Comments with their original authors and timestamps
- Attachments, subtasks, epics and links between issues
- Sprint history and story points
- Custom fields you map — unmapped ones are preserved as read-only text on the task
What does not
Jira workflows, permission schemes, dashboards and gadgets, and any app or plugin data. These have no equivalent and are better rebuilt than translated. Everything they were protecting is available through Taskzin permissions and automations.
Rolling back
Every import is a single reversible operation for 30 days. Settings → Import → History → Roll back removes everything that import created and leaves anything created since untouched. Your Jira instance is never modified at any point.
